Telford HamFest > Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge

Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge

When you take Jiggers Bank on the way down to the Hamfest you can feel that you are travelling back in time to an age around the Industrial Revolution. The whole area was called Coalbrookdale until the Iron Bridge was built in 1779.

If you miss the turning for Enginuity you will go past two pubs on opposite sides of the road. Unfortunately the one on the right has closed down, but is currently being developed.

The Coalbrookdale Inn is the pub on your left. A past CAMRA pub of the year with a recently developed restaurant presided over by Dawn and Danny. The bar serves seven real ales that are in regular rotation. There is a bar menu and also a non smoking Restaurant, whichever you choose, the food is all freshly prepared to order.

Opposite the turning off from Jiggers Bank there are several walks that will take you up the Bank and through the woods.
